Overview
In this Support Specialist role, you will tackle the technical side of support where you will identify and diagnose bugs or technical issues, documenting them for the Engineering Team and communicating status to customers. Part of our Support Team, you will answer questions and resolve issues for both Buyers and Farmers. Sample work includes responding to support requests, digging into DataDog to track down issues, proactively evaluating online sessions and submitting documentation to the Engineering team (using JIRA).
To be successful in this role you need to be curious, detailed-oriented, collaborative, technology-adept and self-motivated. You will use online tools including but not limited to Jira, Slack, Confluence, DataDog, HubSpot (a Customer Relationship Management software and Barn2Door’s platform. Support Specialist roles are 5 day rotations (Sun - Thurs, Mon - Fri, Tue - Sat) to best serve our Farmers.
An interest in technology, a hunger for problem-solving and passion for helping Farmers (customers) will set you up for success in this role. You will experience a fast-paced, high growth startup and be a key contributor to supporting our Farmers on a daily basis.

You Have:
- Ambition to learn more about startups
- Hunger to engage with (and learn) tooling used in technical investigation and ticketing e.g. JIRA, DataDog and Mandrill
- An eagerness to grow your technical prowess from diagnostics to documentation in a customer support role
- Nice to have: Computer Science or similar technical degree, and a passion for Farmers
You Will:
- Respond to Buyer chat support and Farmer chat
- Proactively review sessions to look for common issues and abandoned carts
- Create bugs for the engineering team based on findings from reviews and customer reports
- Test the Barn2Door platform as we deploy new features - report bugs and make product suggestions based on your experience
- Willingly support other areas of the business - namely in Marketing, Sales and Success where your hard-work, positive attitude and detailed nature could be of value
