What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspection Apprentice position at Barnes Aerospace?
Program Overview:
- The apprenticeship program is a competency- based certification program consisting of on-the-job training in segmented inspection disciplines and supplementary online courses. Graduation with Journeyperson certification is dependent on successful completion of each discipline, along with any required coursework.
- 2 year program curriculum, with graduation dependent on demonstrated knowledge and skill in each technical area.
Responsibilities/Qualifications
- Dedicated individual that is self-motivated and committed to learning.
- Must be able to complete required online coursework and supplemental training if needed.
- Maintains safety requirements by adhering to safety procedures and regulations (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment).
- Mechanical aptitude and quality conscientious.
- Other duties as required.
- Ability to work on 2nd Shift if needed.
- S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
- Prior vocational school or accredited technical school experience in a related discipline preferred.
