The Certified Recreational Therapist is responsible for the application of the therapeutic principles to enhance human performance in the area of leisure skills and development by engaging residents in a variety of purposeful, goal-directed activities which have personal relevance for the resident and his/her family.

Job Qualifications

  • Education and Training/Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Must have knowledge of growth and development and show expertise for geriatric population.
  • 2 years experience preferred.
    Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.

  • Licensing/Registration/Certification
    • NRPA Certification preferred
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
