What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Sales Manager- Greater Milwaukee position at Barnes?
Core Responsibilities:
- Sells the breadth of the Molding Solutions product portfolio. Grows market share in assigned territory/account targets leveraging existing accounts, while developing new accounts and relationships to grow sales.
- Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans within assigned sales territory with a primary focus is developing new accounts and maintaining/growing existing relationships.
- Develops customer relationships to sell full portfolio of Molding Solutions products and services within established policy standards. Customer focused with a track record of providing exemplary customer service.
- Develop and maintain deep and successful win-win business relationships throughout the customer’s organizations, including supply chain, quality, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Manages and provides support to direct customer accounts, distributors and to their customers within assigned region. Provides appropriate weekly and monthly internal reports to management.
- Maintains a regional summary on customer profiles, contact dates, customer quotes, follow-ups and general correspondence through Sales Force CRM tools.
- Negotiates the best value for products and services sold in accordance with pricing policies, objectives and guidelines.
- Participate in trade shows, as assigned by management, to support meeting/surpassing sales objectives. Follow up and report on the potential sales leads generated from trade shows, advertisements, and referrals.
- Coordinates with support personnel to build a team approach aimed at meeting sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Present Molding Solutions full capabilities, company image and profile, in a professional manner and adherence to Barnes Code of Ethics.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience preferred but not required.
- up to 5 years of hands-on consultative and technical sales expertise in the Injection Molding Industry and with customized products and solutions.
- Ability to understand written and verbal procedures, instructions and inquiries from customers.
- Ability to understand product and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey knowledge to customers.
- Strong analytical skills. Need to have the ability to make recommendations based on data analysis. Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required. Ability to learn other software packages and maintain an awareness of technology advancements. Experience with Sales Force CRM Software.
- Ability to interpret customers concept and make appropriate application suggestions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Must be willing to travel up to 40%.
- Bachelors Degree in Plastics Engineering (preferred) or demonstrated years of injection molding, tooling and sales experience.
