As the Service Technician for the North American Industrial market you will interact with customers on a daily basis. This key role provides guidance, coordination and support to ensure our customers success. Develop and implement service strategy to achieve company goals and drive customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites, both domestic and international
- Establish and develop a strong working relationship with the customer
- Provide technical support and training at customer site during startup of new hot runner systems.
- Perform rework, modifications, repairs, and installations of molds and hot runner systems at customer sites
- Preparation and coordination of service calls to include gathering technical data and selecting necessary spare parts, subassemblies, and tools
- Test and evaluate new and modified molds, providing quality and performance improvement recommendations
- Provide follow-up of customer visit through service reports and direct communication with Project Manager
- Assemble, service, troubleshoot and repair hot runner systems and molds on-site
- Comply with all safety procedures and policies established
Qualifications:
- 3 Years' experience servicing Plastic Injection Systems and Molds
- Ability to identify potential safety hazards
- Proficient in Blueprint Reading
- Possess strong basic Math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written format
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Possess a valid Passport and the ability to travel overseas for training at Barnes locations or international customer visits.
- Skilled Mold maker in the Plastics Industry a plus.
