Job Description
The vision at Barnum Financial Group is to become the premier provider of financial services within the U.S. with the mission to impact as many lives as possible and we are looking for a Content Manager who can help amplify our brand and engage our 300,000 clients. Our content manager will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all digital content.
The perfect candidate will have a strong grip on content benchmark trends and audience preferences with a proven ability to execute, and a passion for digital engagement. The Content Manager is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining engaging content for print and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Content strategy. Manage and execute a multimedia marketing calendar for the brand.
- Research. Gather insights on customer “pains” and create educational content to address them. Work alongside experts to properly back each piece of content for technical accuracy and adhere to SEO requirements. Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
- Content creation. Create premium long- and short-form pieces of content on a variety of topics relating to financial services. Pieces must be thought of for the enjoyment of clients at all ages and life stages.
- Content distribution. Distribute each content piece via owned channels (email, social, newsletter, PR and website)
- Team building and management. Using a defined department budget, collaborate with contributors to deliver on the needs of the content calendar.
- Content Design. Using InDesign, create content visuals that will attract and engage our audience while supporting the written message and Barnum’s brand style.
Skills & other qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of hands on experience in content management
- Excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite and InDesign
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Strong ability to collaborate
- Communicate with firm leadership on content strategy
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), web traffic metrics, and newsletter metrics
- Basic knowledge of social media best practices
- Development of detailed project plans and delivery timelines based on agreed client deliverables and expectations, while in line with agreed agency process and using assigned tools

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
