We are currently looking for aPlant Forepersonat our Tonawanda, NY facility. The Plant Foreperson will assist the Plant Manager in the day-to-dayoperations of running a safe and efficient Plant.
- Direct the daily activities of the Plant and provide oversight of the Plant employees
- Responsible for the overall safety of the Plant and adhere to all Safety policies and procedures
- Manage the supply chain/plant logistics
- Coordinate the scheduling sequence of truck loading and unloading to ensure client satisfaction
- Perform Lab related work including sampling and testing materials
- Complete daily inventories of materials
- Perform additional duties and tasks as required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field
- Must have a valid driveras license and good driving record
- Mechanical experience a plus
- Must be able to work some weekends and long hours during the summer months
- Ability to make decisions in the absence of the Plant Manager
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to write and communicate complex information in an easily comprehensible manner
- Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented
- Experience with all Microsoft Applications
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
- Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
