The Position of Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance roles and processes within the PM Shop, Garage, and Rebuild shop for rotating, stationary and mechanical equipment. This role is responsible for executing the maintenance process, establishing a reliability focus throughout the area, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement. This position also provides leadership, first-line supervision, technical assistance, and training to a staff of journey-level industrial mechanical maintenance technicians and related maintenance personnel. This position is responsible for formulating and developing unit goals and objectives, supervising assigned personnel, and directing day-to-day activities. Duties and responsibilities are carried out with considerable independence within the framework of established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Work and results are reviewed through inspection and analysis of records, reports, and completed work orders, and equipment and system performance. This position reports to the Maintenance Group Leader.

- Overseeing fire system maintenance, record keeping, Mechanical Integrity job execution (relief valves, tank & piping inspections) to ensure completeness and reporting all findings to the Reliability Engineer for sign-off.
- Ensuring that completed work orders containing actual hours and completion comments are given to the Administrator, also technical specifications are available, understanding and adhered to by the craftsmen and ensuring day-to-day decisions are made regarding the maintenance budget as well as production availability.
- Reviewing planning KPIs (compliance, backlog, etc.), all safety WOs, and report’s reliability KPIs (availability, MTBR, etc.)
- Assisting in scoping corrective work orders, as needed and in the identification of maintenance capital project requests.
- Responding if needed to emergency jobs by dispatching craftsmen, scoping job, informing coordinator of needed services, and gathering needed materials.
- Directing the PM, Rebuild, and Mobile Equipment mechanics and controlling the quality of work by monitoring and scheduling PM’s, rebuild orders and Garage backlog.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

- High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience regarding plant design, maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting is required.
- Requires familiarity with environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Competencies should include strong leadership and interpersonal skills, customer focus, entrepreneurial acting/change agent, and coaching.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
- General knowledge of rotating and stationary equipment repair, construction, and installation techniques
- A broad understanding of mechanical equipment maintenance, mechanical integrity programs and preventative maintenance practices is required.
- Must have familiarity with maintenance programs, work processes (MPI, etc.), and best practices.
- Must have technical competencies of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, general computer skills, work planning and estimating, and user knowledge of SAP maintenance functions.
