BASF Corporation is seeking a Regional Sales & Distribution Manager, Pharma Solutions, NA at our Florham Park, NJ location responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers directing BASF’s Pharmaceuticals customers in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, as well as growth hubs on the U.S. East and West coasts. Oversee relationships with BASF’s Pharma Solutions Distribution partners in the United States and Canada, including allocation of resources, achieving goals, strategy implementation, and coordination across the different countries. Serve as a central point of contact for distribution to lead the development of commercial proposals for short-, mid-, and long-term growth and provide solutions to competitive issues and customer problems (including credit and payment issues). Strategy development and implementation for pipelines of products (new and existing). Development of a sustainable business growth through strategy implementation. Establish joint Sales and New Business Development Pipeline value targets. Provide recommendations to management, and develop and deliver training concepts to Distribution sales teams and technical service teams. Oversee distributors in Mexico and Central America including attending conferences in the region. Develop the Biopharma strategy to grow the business in North America. Local telecommuting permitted. Up to 50% domestic travel required to various client sites nationwide.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience required. Two (2) years of experience must include the following: Managing growth targets for Distribution sales and new business development pipeline value; Creating initiatives to grow the pharma solutions business through analyzing sales performance; Developing and delivering pharma commercial and technical training concepts to sales teams; Resolving credit and payment issues; Commercial pharma strategy and Distributor channel innovation; Supporting team in managing distribution partners to achieve Distribution Growth Strategy; Providing oversight to develop commercial proposals for short- mid- and long-term growth as well as solutions to competitive issues and customer problems, and interface on credit and payment issues; Establish effective Pharma territory and Pharma account plans in accordance with market strategy; Continuously improving sales forecasting accuracy based on interaction with Supply Chain; Steering of budget process for respective team and account base and implement growth strategy; Formulating and implementing short and long-term plans for new business opportunities and new target accounts; Strategic development of the account strategies and ensure account plans are fully executed; Monitoring Pharma market conditions, competitive activities, general economic conditions and governmental, legislative and regulatory matters; Communicating insights within a global and cross-functional Pharma Solutions organization, and deriving meaningful actions; Driving customer centricity using NPS results and ensure pricing compliance using PMM; Resolving pharma quality and regulatory customer issues related with COFEPRIS and GMP regulations; Pharma excipients, including their functions, properties, and compatibility with active pharmaceutical ingredients (API); and Pharma & BioPharma industry technical leadership and technology/product line application experience: including Bioprocessing excipients, Surfactants & Parenteral portfolio. Local telecommuting permitted. Up to 50% domestic travel required to various client sites nationwide.
