Where the Chemistry Happens...
The primary function of this job is to ensure equipment reliability within the facility and to ensure timely production of high quality products in a cost efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner. The job requires technical and problem-solving skills. Work activities include the inspection and trouble shooting of the facility and its equipment.
As a Relibility Technician, You Create Chemistry By...
- Troubleshooting equipment via vibration, IR, stroboscope, ultrasound, oil analysis and historical trending of process. Maintain databases for site equipment.
- Working with equipment, plant personnel, and vendors to improve reliability and operation of plant equipment, as process needs change as well as working in plant equipment library and research and evaluate equipment that we do not have proper files on. Move and or copy equipment information to proper files for future reference.
- Working with maintenance crew as needed to ensure understanding of equipment and how it is put together for troubleshooting as well as working with stores to identify and spec. obsolete, changed or new parts to ensure the right items are available. Also identify alternate vendors for items as needed. Work with stores to ensure BOM’s are updated as discrepancies are found.
- Identifying and spec. capital projects for equipment reliability and /or in areas of past operational expertise as well as sample and track oil for oil analysis program. Add equipment and track results a needed.
- Working with planner/scheduler to ensure proper parts and specs for equipment repairs. Make sure proper parts are changed as identified by predictive technologies.
- Working with maintenance group to identify downtime work, priorities, and scheduling around shutdowns based on predictive technologies.
If you have...
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Vibration analyst
- Lubrication training
- Infrared training
- Ultrasound training
- Precision maintenance on rotating manufacturing equipment.
- SAP experience.
- Technical Degree or equivalent.
- Experience using the following equipment, Forklift, scissor lift, boom lifts, IR camera, Ultrasonic gun, Vibration monitor.
