Job Summary:
The Integrated Network Administrator at Basic ITS is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services within the company's network environment. They will utilize Basic ITS toolsets and data gathering techniques to assess and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting: The network administrator will be responsible for identifying and resolving network-related issues by analyzing system logs, conducting diagnostic tests, and investigating user-reported problems. They will work diligently to ensure minimal disruption to network services and timely resolution of issues.
2. Use of Basic ITS Toolsets and Data Gathering: The network administrator will leverage the Basic ITS toolsets and data gathering techniques to collect and analyze network performance data, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively address network issues. They will use this information to optimize network performance and recommend necessary improvements.
3. Assessment and Troubleshooting: The network administrator will conduct comprehensive assessments of the network infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures. They will investigate and troubleshoot network connectivity, security, and performance issues, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
4. Knowledge of Escalation Path: The network administrator should be familiar with the company's escalation procedures, understanding when and how to escalate network issues to senior team members or other departments for further assistance. They will effectively communicate the status and progress of ongoing network investigations to the appropriate stakeholders.
5. Familiarity with Client Environment: The network administrator will develop a solid understanding of Basic ITS's client environment, including their network architecture, infrastructure components, and specific requirements. They will adapt their troubleshooting approaches accordingly to meet the unique needs of each client.
6. Demonstrated experience in scripting for network support and system administration, developing and maintaining network-scripts to optimize processes and improve network efficiency.
7. On-call Responsibility: The network administrator will be required to participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for urgent network issues. They will respond promptly to critical incidents, triage and troubleshoot problems remotely or on-site, and escalate as necessary to maintain network uptime and customer satisfaction.
Skills:
1. Networking Fundamentals: A solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit, walk, stand, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stoop and kneel. Good manual dexterity, using hands for computer applications and writing. Vision, hearing, speaking for communication needs. Position requires on-call availability, which requires after hours support and week-end work in times of escalation needs. Some travel is expected for training and vendor visits. Position does require all physical aspects typically found within a Data Center, switch/router placement, pulling cable, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
As an Integrated Network Administrator I, it is crucial to be prepared for on-site work at any given time, especially during site installation projects and similar initiatives. There may be instances where you will need to work on-site for several weeks. This hands-on involvement ensures the successful implementation and maintenance of voice communication systems. Your flexibility and adaptability to on-site work will contribute to your growth in this role.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
