Finish Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Finish Specialist position requires experience in the finishing operations and installation of all final parts. A Finish Specialist will recognize and excel in problem solving and decision making to expediate the completion of the process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Uses a variety of tools to install wiring, plumbing, electronics, lids, consoles, seats, batteries, propellers, and engines.

• Safety assists in pick up, move and set up of boats using lifting and towing equipment.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: None

• Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent in Boat Building

• Valid Driver's License if driving tractor.

• Minimum one year finishing experience, must exceed skill level of Finisher A.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Safety Conscious.

• Flexibility with tasks.

• Proficient in proper and safe installation of all finishing parts.

• Follow written and verbal instructions.

• Able to communicate well with team.

• Quick thinking in recognizing critical issues.

• Work as a team of at least two people to push and pull boats between various stages of manufacturing.

• Safety assist in pick up, move and set up of boats using lifting and towing equipment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
