Responsibilities
- Ability to anticipate problems and escalate if appropriate.
- Communicate project status on a regular basis to management, stakeholders, and team members.
- Communicates issues as they arise in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
- Develops documentation as needed to improve financial predictive and reporting capabilities.
- Develops work breakdown structures and action plans and executes them to improve project success.
- Ensures project deliverable compliance with all regulatory agency requirements (e. Ensures that all employees in the department know what is to be accomplished in their jobs.
- Establishes timely and effective communication with the project team, stakeholders, and sponsors to keep them aware of project progress. Follow up with project sponsors and managers to ensure that projects documented correctly.
- Identify and escalate issues and conflicts within the project team as appropriate.
- Maintains project performance improvement standards and measures.
- Monitors accomplishment of agreed upon financial performance at the project level; and where appropriate recommends modifications to established plans.
- Monitors project progress through the review and planning stages to ensure appropriate progress is being made.
- Organize, facilitate, and administer the flow of communication materials, schedules, project requests, and time lines, between internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees the assigned personnel for the project and their work related to the project in conjunction with functional management.
- Performs other duties as requested and observed by management.
- Proactively identifies potential and actual project risks, documents and identifies the underlying causes, and makes necessary decisions so risk is reduced.
- Provide system support for projects including updates and minor configuration changes.
- Provide timely communication and respond promptly.
- Regularly assesses opportunities to enhance system and process performance. Respectfully question stakeholders and identify realistic and idealistic requirements.
- Responsible for the tracking of Bassett Medical Center projects, in terms of budget with actual expenses. Sets the team example by maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
- Tracks procurement documentation as necessary to ensure that project resources are purchased on time. Will need to create ad hoc reports as needed when specific projects dictate.
- Works collaboratively with functional management to ensure project needs are being met by the staff assigned to assist with the project and timelines are met.
Qualifications
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required Associates degree with an additional 2 years of relevant experience will be considered
High School diploma/GED highly preferred with an additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered
Experience:
2 years of leadership experience Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase efficiency and effectiveness
Licensure/Certificates:
CAPM certification preferred
Skills:
- Skilled in developing project team member performance expectations and documentation
- Strong organizational skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to ask clarifying questions as needed to identify project expectations
- Ability to adjust personal style to different situations to create a positive atmosphere
