What you'll do
The Sleep Lab Coordinator I will work Full Time, Days and will oversee the daily functions of all assigned Bassett Network Sleep Labs.
- The Sleep Lab Coordinator will provide administrative and clinical support to sleep lab/clinic patient care teams through excellent customer service, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- The Sleep Lab Coordinator is responsible for providing clear, accurate, timely communication to patients and providers.
- The Sleep Lab Coordinator is responsible for accurate, appropriate scheduling of sleep clinical and lab patients for optimum care and provider efficiency.
- The coordinator will be responsible for obtaining prior authorization for all sleep procedures and sleep medications.
- The coordinator will be responsible for the scheduling of sleep studies, making follow up appointments, and obtaining compliance downloads for PAP machines.
- The Sleep Lab Coordinator will make sure patient charts are accurate and put together with all necessary information for sleep techs to perform proper sleep studies.
What we need from you
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. The New York State mandate allows for medical exemptions and religious accommodations, when appropriate. All candidates who accept an offer from Bassett Healthcare Network will be required to show proof of vaccination as required by New York State.
Education:
- High School or GED required.
- 2 year Associate Degree in Business or related field of study preferred.
Experience:
- Obtaining insurance authorization and referrals process preferred.
- EPIC Medical Records experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS within 6 months of hire date required.
Skills:
- Computer skills
- Reading/Writing/Comprehension
- Interacting with People
Physical Requirements:
- Light Work - exerting up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
Hazards:
- Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure.
Travel:
- Occasional Travel - the job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis.
