What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Batesville?
Batesville is looking for a CAD Technician to join our team in Batesville, IN. As a CAD Technician you will be responsible to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and drawings for new product design or updates. You’ll utilize AutoCAD software to update and maintain current prints throughout the engineering change process.

What you’ll do:
- Use AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault systems to update or create models and drawings
- Change models and drawings per engineering change notices
- Maintain models and drawings database so it reflects our current process
- Create models and drawings of new products and/or components
- Work with new product development team on layouts and designs as needed
- Working knowledge of Unigraphics NX 10.0 CAD system
- Other duties may be assigned
Basic Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma from technical school in CAD
- 3 years of related design experience
- Or a combination of education and experience
Great to Haves:
- Understanding of sheet metal and plastic components, and design principles
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work cohesively with all levels of internal and external customers; possessing interpersonal and communication skills
