Description
The Financial Analyst - Retail Operations Finance (FA) is the primary liaison between Store Design & Construction (SD&C) and Real Estate in regard to budgeting and forecasting project spend for new store build-outs and remodels of existing stores. The FA is responsible for partnering with SD&C and Sourcing to accurately maintain visibility to project costs through cost models, analysis, and reporting. Additionally, the FA has responsibility for budgeting and forecasting maintenance spend in our existing stores, and for resolution of inquiries from our maintenance vendors. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical thinking capabilities and be able to multitask, prioritize, meet set deadlines, and proactively provide solutions in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners in SD&C, Real Estate, Sourcing, Store Finance and Store Operations
Prepare cost budgets for proposed new stores and renovation projects
Develop and maintain complex cost models
Prepare monthly forecasts, including variance analysis against budgets and prior forecasts
Coordinate with our Sourcing partners to review purchase orders
Prepare expense forecasts related to project activity and maintenance activity
Recommend and implement process improvements
Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
Two to three years of related financial analysis or accounting experience
Strong analytical, system, and finance skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build strong partnerships with cross functional teams
Strong multitasking ability and demonstrated self-management
Advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in SAP preferred
