We are a fast-growing general contracting firm specializing in utility & electrical construction.
BAI is located in New Castle, DE.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management of company safety program “Serious About Safety” and the company
• Safety Team and Council
• Maintain compliance for all safety documents and procedures
• Manage and document all business insurance and claims o Submit OCIP calculations and monthly reporting
• Ensure company-wide OSHA compliance o Injury/Incident Recordkeeping o BEI Site Audits; Work with Safety Team and BAI Safety Managers o Schedule OSHA Training; Supply required State and Federal posters
• Administer the Substance Abuse Policy o Administer State/County requirements – Pre-Employment; Random; Post
• Conduct background checks o Request and process background checks for specific jobs o Write compliance letters o DMV – process driving record checks
• File EEO-1 Reports annually, including component 2 wage data when required
• Act as the company’s liaison for Department of Labor obligations o Submit Prevailing Wage Surveys o Process Unemployment Requests for information (DE, MD, NJ, PA) o Submit Bureau of Labor monthly reports
• Maintain the company’s ISN Certification o Keep Battaglia companies complaint maintain A rating on ISN o Manage ISN hourly reporting
• Training o Keep employees compliant with latest training in their field o Maintain state-required trainings such as sexual harassment o Organize regular Toolbox Talks o Set up and schedule training
• Conduct routine site visits in coordination with Foremen/PMs

Experience Requirements:

• Effective written, oral and analytical skills
• Excellent presentation and training skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational, interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Willingness to meet deadlines and work the necessary time needed
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities and work under pressure
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors and co-workers
• Ability to work in a team environment
• At least 5 years of direct construction management and safety experience
• Experience managing multiple delivery methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

Education Requirements:

• 4 Year Degree in Construction Management, Safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour Certification a plus
