We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic leader to take our Amazon business to the next level.
Amazon Lead is a high-visibility and strategic role responsible for managing vendor relations, COOP and promotional calendar through partnership with sales strategy. This individual should be a self-starter who is prepared to build and execute against a strategic account plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and business background that enables them to successfully identify and progress opportunities with a high degree of customer obsession.
Responsibilities
As the owner of the Amazon and pure play eCommerce sales channel, you are responsible for growing our relationship with Amazon, expanding our assortment, collaborating cross-functionally to improve fill rates and reduce chargebacks, and manage trade funds
Work with Logistics team to manage inventory availability and inventory health including inventory planning and forecasting, operational efficiency, fill rates, and lead time
Develop relationship with Amazon Vendor Managers and lead business review meetings
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, trade funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement
Identify selection opportunities, including product bundles, product innovation and promotional offers to drive incremental growth
Monitor assortment catalog and visual merchandising, including A content and brand stores
Use data from Internal Systems as well as Vendor / Seller Central to provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates on Amazon sales, promotional effectiveness and ROI
Manage the development and corresponding maintenance of accurate, timely forecasts of the business segment and brand level
Work with eCommerce Media Manager and Customer Experience Lead to activate retailer-specific marketing campaigns including promotion strategy, creative development, and content needs
Identify consumer-centric opportunities that can be addressed through innovation and collaboration with Amazon.com
Oversee the planning and execution of sales meetings and key Amazon presentations
Partner with Customer Service team to ensure poor product reviews/experiences are tracked and addressed
Qualifications
Highly motivated, a self-starter and curious, demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving and ability to quickly learn and add value
Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to summarize and present actionable information from complex data
Ability to build close working relationships and drive data-driven recommendations and decisions with internal teams (e.g., marketing, finance)
Knowledge & in depth understanding of key retail POS metrics related to the Amazon
Strong analytical skills, ability to make quick/calculated decisions, and ability to perform effectively in a team and individual work environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across several groups in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Strong project management and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel) and with analytical tools
3-5 years’ eCommerce experience, Amazon direct experience preferred
7-10 years’ Sales experience
