The surgical business unit of Bausch Lomb is primarily focused on phaco, retina and femto equipment, accessories and disposables, intraocular monofocal and premium lenses and OVDs which address patients’ everyday eye conditions and also include specific conditions, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. We offer a broad portfolio of products to help eye care practitioners solve the most challenging patient visual demands, featuring cutting edge equipment and materials blended with incredibly innovative optical designs.
This position has the unique opportunity to accelerate the growth of the B L Surgical business through the management of our National Accounts channel. The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is responsible for prospecting new National Account groups by leveraging B L’s innovative and diverse product portfolio. Additionally, the NAM will manage an existing portfolio of National and Strategic Accounts by developing and managing the cross-functional relationship between Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Customer Service, Finance and other key B L departments to analyze, develop, and implement contracts and business plans for each of our National, Private Equity and Strategic Account partners. The NAM will manage execution of account specific strategy, programs, logistics, processes or tactics that contribute to the growth of B L sales and market share. These programs / strategies include:
Establish new contracts/agreements with IDNs, ASC groups, Mobile Service Providers and Private Equity firms acquiring ophthalmology practices.
Launching and adding new products to existing National Account agreements.
Leverage account and B L field sales resources to grow sales and market share.
Ensure strategies are integrated and executed at field level, occasionally through co-travels, providing relevant data and participation in field sales conference calls and meetings (virtual and in-person).
Expectations for time in field with Business Review meetings, Industry Exhibitions as well as field work with B L personnel and customers is a minimum of 60 days per year.
Effectively communicate account strategies to the field sales team while keeping field sales and sales management informed on all aspects of the business.
Serve as point person to facilitate and influence relationships with cross-level customer personnel throughout all Strategic Account organizations, to ensure effective account management, customer service, utilizing analytical and consultative skills to understand key Strategic Account objectives. This includes sales volume quota, customer defined performance metrics, category management initiatives, regional strategies, promotional program coordination, productivity and ROI.
The NAM will be responsible for managing and aligning all support resources for these customers. This position requires excellent analytical skills and forecasting acumen to provide accurate and timely reporting on key metrics such as spend projections, ROI versus resources deployed, key competitive insights, market trends and new product opportunities.

Field visits with owned customer field personnel
Develop and manage the relationships with surgical personnel (ophthalmologists and professional leads) to drive B L product usage
Management

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7 years sales experience in ophthalmology cataract or retina (National Accounts experience preferred) with documented sales success
Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully manage account level P&L’s, including revenue, profitability and budgets
Experience working in a highly matrixed environment requiring the ability to collaborate, and influence across functions
Comprehensive knowledge of surgical OR area, professional sales and marketing, brand strategies and competitive products.
Proven ability to operate and influence cross functionally
Demonstrated capability in driving initiatives across company/franchises
Thorough understanding of sales and marketing, business trends and consumer dynamics
Excellent project and time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
