As a human resources business partner to key commercial business leaders, the Manager, Human Resources will be responsible for developing and driving organizational and people strategies aligned to the business strategy. The successful candidate will utilize his/her human resources knowledge and experience to partner with functional COEs to manage generalist activities for client group including employee relations, manager development, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
Attract, develop and retain high performing employees. Participate in talent management process and partner with business and HR leadership to institute development programs such as succession planning, career-pathing, etc. in support of a high-performance workforce.
Analyze and present people metrics to leadership to inform sound talent and business decisions.
Partner with senior leaders to build people manager capability through people, experiences, and education.
Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues. Identify and partner with internal and external resources to assist in addressing issues. Provide counsel that is consistent with company policies and practices, legal considerations, etc.
Guide leaders through talent movement and strategic organizational design decisions and execution.
Clearly communicate and work effectively at all levels of the organization. Support major change initiatives, strategic staffing plans, and successful organizational development.
Coach leaders and managers to maximize the effectiveness of their teams and individuals and solve for complex organizational issues.
Partner with internal HR functional leaders and HR business partners to identify trends and opportunities for improvement to drive high employee engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree a plus
7 years of directly applicable HR generalist experience in a rapidly changing environment with proven expertise driving sound employee relations practices. Experience in a regulated health care environment preferred.
Ability to thrive in a lean organization with an entrepreneurial culture
High learning agility with a proven ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and flexible environment
Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
Demonstrated competence in employee relations and knowledge of employment laws (i.e. EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA)
Solid track record of developing and implementing HR projects and programs to drive change and improve organizational and leadership effectiveness
Strong oral and written communication, project and time management skills
Expertise with HRIS systems, Word suite of products including Excel and PowerPoint
