OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE OF JOB

The planner is responsible for implementing an achievable production schedule to meet customer service and inventory goals.

This position will need to review the monthly forecast passes for multiple production areas and determine an 18 month level loaded production plan.

In addition, this position will need to work collaboratively with the production supervisors, quality release, and engineers to expedite shop orders where necessary.

This position will also need to engage the regional planners to ensure their forecasts are accurate and timely.

This position is also responsible for reviewing MRP output and working closely with buyers to ensure components are delivered in time to meet production schedules.

KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop an achievable 18 month production plan on a monthly basis for multiple production areas.

Creation of weekly reports in Excel to determine SKU inventory positions to ensure customer service goals are met.

Management of Manugistics ARC process

Review of MRP output to determine component needs and communicating requirements to buyers.

Review and conduct analysis of monthly forecast passes to determine any potential supply challenges.

Creation of ad hoc reports or analyses where necessary.

Present production plan to plant management for approval on a monthly basis.

Expedite shop orders to ensure supply continuity.

Communicate and work collaboratively with regional planners to ensure their requirements are met.

Establish and monitor planning parameters in Manugistics and ERPlx.

Compile purchasing requirements for EMO items and communicate those requirements to EMO buyer.

Establish forecasts for various EMO suppliers.

Manage Manugistcs ARC process for EMO items.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a supply chain or operations discipline.

Desired Experience:
Knowledge and proficiency in Excel.

Understanding of cGMP requirements.

Expertise in an ERP system such as Manugistics or ERPlx.

APICs certification preferred.

0-2 years in planning experience (in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred).

Knowledge of ERP systems including ERPlx and Manugistics highly desired.
