Job Description:
Purchasing Buyer I Provides clerical assistance and supports the Materials department with purchases with the objective of cost containment and assuring proper procedures are followed throughout the hospital.Full-Time Position (80 Hours Per Pay Period)
Shift: Days Days: Varied
Wages Based Upon Experience
CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
- Demonstrates the ability to type 45 words per minute
- Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
- Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
- Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
- Able to read, write legibly, and converse in the English language
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Demonstrates the understanding of Inventory Management
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
- Current Oregon driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree and/or recent buyer experience
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years’ previous work experience in related field
