General Summary: As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of existing and new product development projects. This individual will be responsible for a team of engineers and support staff, supporting the birth and execution of projects and processes within Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain strategies for the effective management of Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs).
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of ECNs, minimizing disruption to production schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the manufacturing engineering function.
- Work closely with your team and other departments to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that teams have the necessary tools, equipment, and personnel to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Materials, Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality, to support NPI timelines.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address NPI challenges that may arise.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in new product implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 10 years in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, design principles, and manufacturing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
