Bay Environmental, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Environmental Scientist in their Natural Resources Division with the position located at our office in Chesapeake, Virginia. Qualified applicants will possess at a minimum: bachelor of science degree in biology or related field, 3 years of direct field experience with the delineation of wetlands in the Coastal Plain or 3 years direct experience preparing wetland permit applications (REQUIRED), experience with GIS, ability to navigate in and traverse difficult terrain in adverse climatic conditions, ability to lift and carry 60 pounds. Selected candidate will perform wetland delineation, prepare reports, operate GPS and GIS, and prepare permit applications. We offer flexibility that larger firms cannot match in a challenging environment.
