Bay Power, Inc. is a fully authorized GE and ABB Industrial Solutions Distributor. We supply new, used, and surplus electrical breakers and components.

Job Highlights

You will be responsible to perform general maintenance on large electrical circuit breakers across a broad spectrum of manufacturers. Work with a variety of tools and machinery to clean, test, or repair products and parts for distribution. Comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents used in the production process

Responsibilities

· Conduct detailed and routine inspections of large electrical circuit breakers for resale potential.

· Perform general maintenance on electrical circuit breakers to include dismantling, cleaning, repair, lubrication, calibration, alignment, and reassembly in accordance with OEM guidelines to prepare product for resale.

· Conduct final electrical and mechanical testing on circuit breakers

· Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, one-line drawings, or other verbal or written instructions.

· Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance and requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying manager of tool or equipment issues, and/or calling for repairs (if applicable).

· Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and all established safety protocols.

· Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies; place request order with manager; verify receipt of supplies (if applicable).

· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

· Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Qualifications

· 3-5 years of experience in testing, repair, and maintenance of large electrical distribution equipment, including but not limited to, LV circuit breakers such as insulated case and air circuit breakers.

· Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for low voltage circuit breakers.

· Demonstrated understand of the following: VFD drives, soft starters, and electrical distribution equipment including circuit breakers, starters, relays, and motor control centers.

· Demonstrated experience working with circuit breaker testing equipment.

· Demonstrated skill with mechanics.

· Ability to read, understand, and decipher circuit breaker test-time curves.

· Possess good eyesight including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate colors.

· Appropriate physical stamina and manual dexterity and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

· Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

· Good organizational and time-management skills.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Valid Driver’s License for (for state in which employed).

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with major medical, dental, vision and 401k. Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.33 - $35.00 per hour
