BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.
Position Details:
- Location: Remote (after two weeks of onsite training)
- Status: Full time
- Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm (4 10-hour shifts)
- Days: Monday through Friday / Every other Saturday
This Financial Assistance Specialist opportunity is a full-time remote position. This position requires two weeks of onsite training and quarterly in person meetings at either our South Florida Baptist hospital or a BayCare hospital in Pinellas County.
Responsibilities:
The Financial Assistance Specialist is responsible for identifying ER patients thru bedside assessment and interview who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies. May act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies. The Financial Assistance Specialist must be able to clearly documents all activities.

- Required High School or equivalent
Experience
- Required 3 years Healthcare customer service or Social Services with High School Diploma
- OR 1 year Healthcare customer service or Social Services with an Associate's Degree
- Preferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded/ underfunded patients
