IT Forensics Analyst

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, IT Forensics Analyst, are to:

• Collaborate with Law/Patent/Compliance, Human Resources, Data Privacy, Global Security, IT Security, and other business partners to determine requirements for data collection and data analysis to meet internal inquiry objectives;
• Provide comprehensive analysis of detailed reports from a range of sources, systems and tools as required for case objectives;
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to interpret evidence and findings;
• Manage of case data, recording and logging of findings in an online case management tool;
• Identify opportunities to improve technical controls and recommend both tactical and strategic solutions;
• Respond to off-hour security incidents that may require delivery of analytical work;
• Provide written reports to IT Forensics Lead and senior management;
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate a dynamic work environment;
• Embrace continuous development in support of new or evolving technologies and processes;
• Support and improve procedures regarding chain of custody practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience or at least 12 years of applicable business experience or equivalent in a governed and structured IT environment;
• Ability to adopt and follow strict standard operating procedures and work instructions;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency in meeting facilitation;
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with technical and non-technical individuals, including senior management;
• Possess sharp attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Proven organizational skills (time management and prioritization), and also employ a rigorous process for all follow-up / coordination activities;
• Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team;
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve technical controls and recommend both tactical and strategic solutions;
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency who takes ownership and responsibility for projects and initiatives;
• Strong adherence to confidentiality and discreet communication;
• Ability to respond to off-hour situations;
• Experience with Windows and MAC operating systems;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Word, Excel, Power Point;
• Solid familiarity with Office O365, Exchange Online, Share Point, Teams;
• Strong understanding of enterprise class networks, data stores and cloud services;
• Understanding of digital investigation tools, processes and concepts;
• Experience with user data stores on multiple endpoint and mobile device platforms;
• Familiarity with existing and emerging cloud technology services and concepts;
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and respond to rapidly changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least three years of Risk Management or Data Analytics experience.
