Schedule: Full Time - Days/Nights - 36 hours per week
Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital – Temple is a 48-bed, highly advanced medical facility offering private treatment rooms and 24-hour access to a team of physicians located in Temple, Texas.
Our modern, patient-focused facility delivers comprehensive therapies for patients requiring extended hospital stays. Rather than chronic care, the Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital provides acute care, which involves active but short-term treatment following a severe medical condition or during recovery from surgery. It is also home to our skilled nursing facility.
Long Term Acute Care Opportunities
Patients cared for are critically ill with complex conditions. Many of these patients depend on technology such as ventilators, special monitors or dialysis. The average length of stay is 25 days.

Our team, which includes physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and specialists in physical, occupational and speech therapy, utilizes its skills and experience to individualize care for our long-term patients.
We treat patients with conditions such as:
- Ventilator weaning
- Pulmonary disease
- Cardiopulmonary disorders
- Complex wound care
- Neuromuscular diseases
- Gastrointestinal diseases (difficulty eating/swallowing)
- Post-operative complications (infection, stroke, bleeding)
- Renal disease, including dialysis
- Medically-complex patients
- Post-trauma care

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Active RN License
- Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- MAJOR - Nursing
- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
