What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Clerk (2nd Shift) position at Baymont Inn and Suites?
This position consists of 2nd shift(3pm-11pm) 40 hours a week. Must have an open schedule and willingness to float between shifts when needed. Weekend and Holiday availability is a MUST. Must have basic computer and math skills.
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay.
- Determinate a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay.
- Helps guests complete registration cards and then assigns rooms, accommodation special requests whenever possible.
- Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures.
- Places guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks and communicates this information to the appropriate hotel personnel.
- Works closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work.
- Maintains guest room key storage and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes.
- Must be sales-minded.
- Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
- Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
- Pool duty during open pool season will be required. Only registered guests will be allowed to swim and 2nd shift employee will have to monitor the flow and ask unregistered visitors to leave the property when needed.
The chosen individual must show up to work on time, every day they are scheduled.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.25 - $10.00 per hour
