What are the responsibilities and job description for the Universal Worker position at Bayshore?
Overview
Provides kind, caring and consistent companionship and support to the residents. Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by the supervisor. This position reports to the Health Services Manager.
Essential Functions
- Reports any resident concerns to the Health Services Manger immediately.
- Respects residents’ confidentiality.
- Completes all side work as assigned.
- Attends all training in-service seminars and pre-shift meetings.
- Assists in special events.
- Performs all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Examples of tasks include but are not limited to: Observing the dining rooms, assisting with activities, cleaning ambulation devices, making beds, preparing snacks, assisting at meal times, cuing resident to perform a task, providing standby assistance, escorting residents, emptying trash, documenting information, assisting with resident vital signs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. No prior experience or training.
