Spanish Medical Interpreter

Baystate is currently seeking Interpreters to do Onsite meetings. We are looking for all experience levels, having a Medical Interpreting certificate would be very helpful. All languages are welcome.

Baystate Interpreters, Inc. provides professional interpreting and translation services in over 150 languages. Our accredited staff are well versed in legal, medical, and business fields. We provide consecutive and simultaneous interpreting services. All of our services are provided with the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Interpret between English and (applicable) languages.
• Maintain the appropriate tone of voice, register and observe cultural nuances
• Maintain professionalism through attitude, and interpreting service
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Respond to the interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.

• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in English and (applicable) languages
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situations
• Flexible availability
• All experience levels encouraged to apply
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation
