Job description
Our client is seeking CAS Assessors able to travel in an assigned region to conduct CAS (Coordinated Assessment System) Assessments of IDD/DD persons.
This is a hybrid role - both in-person and virtual visits.
Pay & Benefits:
- $26.00 per hour / 40 hour work week
- Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO
- Three-week paid training both virtual and in-person
- Mileage reimbursement
Coverage areas currently needed - either Orange county, Rockland county, Westchester county or the Bronx.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAS ASSESSOR
- Schedule and coordinate the assessment process with individuals, families and providers in the home and/or community using a person-centered approach
- Conduct the assessment at a location and time which is most convenient for the individual
- Utilize an in-person, person-centered interview process as part of the assessment process
- Conduct additional interviews with knowledgeable person(s) and utilize multiple sources including records to verify information and coding prior to finalizing the assessment
- Complete all assessments utilizing the provided software
- Work from home when not conducting assessments
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have at least 1 year post degree experience working with adult DD/IDD persons
- Must possess BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work and/or related field.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region.
- Must be willing to and able to accommodate varying schedules and hours including evenings and weekends.
- Strong analytical skills; detail and solution oriented; ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to use spreadsheet or database software; Web-based applications, Email, Microsoft Word.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS ID card.
- Must reside in New York State.
