What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst position at Baywood Hotels?
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, providing support to multi-million dollar real estate transactions and assisting hotel operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis - Collect, interpret, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Reporting - Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and actionable reports, presentations, and visualizations to key stakeholders.
- Forecasting - Utilize data and statistical methods to develop forecasts and predictions related to hotel development, acquisitions and operations.
- Transaction Support - Assist the Baywood Hotels development and capital market departments with all aspects of acquisitions, sales and refinancing including, but not limited to: underwriting, due diligence, budgeting and projections.
- Licensing/Operations Support - Provide support to hotel operations teams with licensing and compliance matters.
- Identify Insights: Discover insights and opportunities through data analysis that can drive strategic decisions and process improvements.
- Market Research - Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to provide valuable market intelligence.
- Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, revenue management, operations and human resources.
- Data Integrity - Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity, and develop and implement data governance practices.
- Continuous Learning - Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis and analytics.
- Domestic travel is required (approximately 1-2 times per month).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, economics etc.).
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
