What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Controls Designer position at BBP Sales?

BBP is hiring an Sr. Controls Designer to work with our panel designer to create custom control solutions for our customers in the Southeast part of the country.
As a Sr. Controls Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Receives project specifications from sales team and designs building automation system.
- Interpret customer requirements, address design and engineering parameters, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.
- Develop solution-based control systems and present the solution to customer
- Prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics and submittal documents typically using computer-aided design software.
- Works closely with engineers to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs.
- Acts as a Senior technical resource to team and customer as needed.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four-year accredited college or university.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong CAD Skills
- Understand relevant electrical codes and how to design panels to meet code
- Knowledge and ability to apply UL508A Panel Design Standards
- Working knowledge of process control systems
- The ability to help build, develop and manage a team of designers and drafters
Experience in these areas are a plus:
- 3D and AutoCad Electrical experience a plus
- High Voltage (480) Design experience a plus
- Previous panel fabrication building, PLC and DCS experience a plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer a plus
