Compensation: $80,000. - $85,000/year Benefits, perks, and growth!
Schedule: 3PM - 11:30pm Monday- Friday
Global high-end luxury brand is seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to lead our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety and compliance programs within the organization’s supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain data related to Cal/OSHA recordkeeping requirements
- Plan and deliver safety training for new and existing employees
- Coordinate the implementation of hazard controls based on accident investigation results, PPE assessments, and job safety analyses (JSAs)
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures
- Recommend changes to reduce the frequency and severity of workplace accidents and injuries
- Conduct workplace inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
- Report, investigate, track and analyze workplace accident and injury data
- Document all safety training and audit records for accuracy on a periodic basis
- Participate in new employee orientation training
- Monitor lost time injuries and workers compensation claims
- Develop, implement, and maintain a safety handbook and site-specific policies
- Ensure that Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations and codes are observed and followed
- Order safety supplies, products or training materials as required
- Build and maintain good relationships with all levels of Distribution Leadership
Requirements:
- 4 years of related work experience in safety and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in safety or similar discipline, preferred
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Certification
- Forklift experience: Turret, Cherry picker, Electric pallet jack
- Experience in a high-volume distribution center
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, communication, and follow-up skills
- Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual Spanish Preferred
