What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at BC INC?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the community properties
- Manage resident relations, including addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate and schedule property maintenance and repairs
- Maintain accurate records and files related to property management
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system ( like CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activities
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers and maintain a file of vetted and approved vendors and service providers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure property is well-maintained
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting for the properties
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and file management
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Knowledge of facilities management principles and practices
- Familiarity with contract negotiation processes
- Proficiency in using office software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
