Job Summary:
High visible role working directly with the Accounting Manager. Responsible for preparing monthly financial reporting statements for both internal management review and external presentation. Financial analysis for operations in Alaska, Alabama, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas.
Job Responsibilities:
•Performs monthly operational job analysis for all business units including Alabama, Louisiana, Four Corners, Pipeline Services, and Texas.
•Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
•Responsible for making monthly revenue and expense accruals related to ongoing projects.
•Reconciles rebillable revenue monthly making necessary accruals as required.
•Involved with the monthly financial close for both internal and external purposes.
•Works closely with Operations Directors and Project Managers to ensure Percentage of Completion accounting for jobs is accurate.
•Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
•Assist with Fixed Asset maintenance.
•Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support the monthly-close process.
•Performs monthly assigned balance sheet account reconciliations.
•Improve efficiency, analysis and reporting by developing new processes and strategies.
•Assist with annual financial audit process.
Qualifications:
•2 - 5 years’ experience in general accounting role.
•2 - 5 years’ experience using MS applications (especially Excel).
•Experience with SAP a plus
Education Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, finance, or business.
•Master’s degree in business or finance preferred.
•Holds or is pursuing CPA designation preferred.
