As Finance Manager, PIVC, you will be expected to provide the necessary financial and business partner support to platform/functional leaders and team members. You will work with associates at all levels of the organization to report, monitor, and manage key financial performance indicators. The position is a part of the MDS finance team. This role is hybrid, working three days per week at our Salt Lake City, UT office and two days remotely.
Our vision for Medication Delivery Systems at BD
The Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit has a global revenue of $4.2 billion. It accounts for approximately 23% of the Company's revenue, making it the largest business unit in the Company in terms of revenue and associates employed. Approximately 45% of this revenue is derived from outside of the United States. Products are manufactured at over 40 facilities around the world.
Peripherally Inserted Venous Catheters (PIVC) has global revenue of $1.0 billion, accounting for nearly 25% of MDS’s global revenue. PIVC is based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Key responsibilities will include:
Partner with WW platform marketing teams to problem solve complex business / financial issues.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of financial results to leadership teams. Deliver insightful analysis to uncover risks and opportunities resulting in budget beating performance.
Work closely with the US region marketing team to develop the annual budget, forecasts, and 3-year Annual Strategic Review.
Support the global Integrated Business Process with collaboration with supply chain, marketing, operations. Attend demand consensus and supply review meetings to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial projections.
Work closely with operations finance to understand costing trends, capital requirements, supply issues, cost reduction initiatives, budget/projection matters.
Partner with R&D and Marketing to develop complex financial models supporting new product development.
About you: To be successful in this role, you require:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field; CFA, CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum 3 years of FP&A and Accounting working experience (journal entries, month end close, financial planning, business analytics).
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and SOX internal control procedures, in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Must be well organized and possess superior analytical and communication skills.
Must be proficient working with MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPS, Modeling), and the ability to work in general ledger systems (e.g. BPC, SAP, Power BI.)
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, etc.) required.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment.
Ability to work in a visible role that will interact with individuals at all organizational levels, internal and external, and at remote locations
Self-motivated, self-driven, proactive and seeks continuous improvement.
