Easy drive right off I10- Lacombe Facility in search of compassionate Registered Nurse with Behavioral Health experience to join our team.
Beacon Behavioral Hospital, one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For over 20 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Lacombe, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Houma, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. We currently provide inpatient programs and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide therapy to those struggling with emotional disorders, substance abuse, and mental disorders.

To fulfill this mission, Beacon Behavioral Hospital seeks dedicated, compassionate, and professional staff in a variety of roles within behavioral health services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Function as the Charge Nurse, responsible for nursing care and supervision of LPNs, CNAs and Mental Health Technicians. RNs assure that care provided demonstrates the ANA standards for care and utilizes evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of the treatment program, including individual Plans of Care.
- Serve as the Medication Nurse as needed and assist LPNs and all staff as needed. Teamwork is essential in this role.
- Assist the DON as the liaison between the program staff and medical staff.
- Work within established budget and staffing guidelines.
- Participate in Performance Improvement by engaging in the plan, study, do act cycle of improvement.
- Serve as a role model to others of professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
- Must have a Bachelor’s, Associate degree or diploma in nursing with documented evidence of educational program focused on treating psychiatric patients.
- Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, 1 year of which was providing nursing care to the mentally ill, OR receive regular documented supervision/consultation from a Master’s prepared psychiatric nurse.
- Certification in Basic Life Support required.
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
