Job Description
Below position is Contract to hire (Need to relocate to Seattle once hired fulltime)
Seattle Public Schools student information system (SIS), PowerSchool, as well as internal (I.E., Student Assignment System (SAS), Transportation Operations Systems (TOPS), Safety and Security, Truancy Management), and external applications (I.E., PowerTeacher/Pro, Schoology, Clever, Naviance, Performance Matters, Unified Insights, VersaTrans) to name a few, are supported by our team.
This position reports to the IT Manager on the DoTS Student Systems Support Team.
Required Skills Sets:
- 8 years’ experience as a senior project manager, with two to four years of experience in oversite and mentorship
- Certificate in Project Management; PMP Certification
- Developing IT team agile best practice standards.
- Developing IT best practice documentation. I.E., functional requirements, technical requirements, test cases, etc.
- Managing software and application inventory
- Facilitating the coordination and communication of related business efforts for acceptance and efficacy
- Managing bi-weekly and hot-fix release management cycles, including planning, development, prioritization, security, backlog grooming, etc.
- Oversee reoccurring operational tasks
- Partner with the Manager to develop and manage schedules, resources, scope, risk, and communication plans with appropriate input from business and team
- Participating and providing input into the district, departmental, and team strategies, priorities, and work plans based on current and expected needs and priorities
- Partnership with Project Management Office (PMO)
