Job Summary:
The Graphic Design Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and creating imaginative, strategic, and culturally relevant designs that will push forward the Beak and Skiff/ 1911 brand as well as Gen V Labs and Ayrloom.
- Applying your understanding of typography, photo editing, layout design, communication design, and brand standards to the implementation and development of email marketing, website banners, web advertisements, social media visuals, brand assets, and other visual design assignments.
- Owning workload with projects at varying stages and ability to quickly adjust as priorities change.
- Reviewing all projects daily to identify questions and answers needed to move projects forward.
- Editing imagery to format for digital environments.
- Designing for print, as needed.
- Designing reusable templates for use by you and your teammates.
- Keeping a pulse on current design trends
- 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design including design for web, brand development, and identity design.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite’s design applications, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Extremely organized, self-motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented and able to independently manage a project from conception to production.
- Flexibility with work assignments and the capability to both organize and complete multiple concurrent tasks within sometimes short time frames.
- Fluent in design trends and able to adapt to changing market forces.
- Bachelor’s degree in a graphic design-related field.
- A strong online portfolio with examples of work that include designing for eCommerce and branding. Any resumes submitted without an electronic portfolio will not be considered.
- Strong understanding of digital design methodologies, digital platforms (incl. social media) and best practices.
- Passion for the craft: design, creativity, technology.
- Demonstrate: Strong typographic and color skills. Expertise in principles and practices of graphic design.
- Eagerness to collaborate, multi-task, and solve challenges with a solid point-of-view, and open to different opinions in a team centric operation.
- Close visual acuity to perform tasks related to design. Flexibility and ability to position oneself to art direct a variety of images.
- Excellent at multi-tasking and managing dozens of deliverables simultaneously.
This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, and telephone.
- Proficient knowledge of latest software versions across MS Office, asset mgmt., Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD. Illustration skills beneficial.
- Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, using a computer terminal, reading and responding to email and phone inquiries.
Physical Exertion:
Light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force
frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside Work: With exposure to temperature changes (e.g., unheated or uncooled warehouse).
Outside Work: With exposure to weather (photo shoots)

Salary : $54,200 - $68,700
