Learn even more at www.beallsinc.com/beallsinc/careers Information Security Associate This an entry-level position responsible for the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities reported by our vulnerability assessment tool. The candidate will work closely with application owners and other stakeholders to identify, validate, remediate, or mitigate the risk of reported vulnerabilities. The candidate will also be responsible for the initial assessment of reported phishing messages and threat intelligence. Will work directly with our Security Engineer for all escalations, appropriate actions, guidance, and training. INTERACTION - Reports to Director of Information Security. - Extensive interaction with other Information Technology team members. - Moderate interaction with associates throughout the company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES - Conduct vulnerability assessment scans. - Drive remediation of reported vulnerabilities. - Analyze phishing messages and take appropriate action. - Analyze threat intelligence reports & feeds. - Analyze EDR alerts. - Analyze SIEM alerts. - Assist with SOC (Security Operations Center) tickets. - Assist with phishing awareness campaigns. - Minor technical support. - Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS - Desire to learn new skills and the drive to succeed. - High School diploma or equivalent is required. - Some college or AS degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity preferred. - Foundational IT experience or Security Certifications such as A , Security , or similar is preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including but not limited to: Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. - Ability to multi-task and prioritize. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching). - Must be able to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
