Barrel Quality Specialist

Role Responsibilities

• Lead shop floor level field work including barrel and barrel warehouse research projects, standard process improvements and other data collection efforts.
• Lead data retrieval and acquisition across Kentucky maturing operations and research projects from systems (SAP, Globe Ranger RFID, others) and field equipment.
• Perform analysis and reporting of data collected.
• Support all barrel warehouse standard process development activity and adherence assessments.
• Support barrel vendor partnerships to ensure barrel quality and performance improvements.
• Support an inclusive culture via Beam Suntory’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
• Support and be an advocate of continuous improvement initiatives that improve the safety and quality of our liquid and barrel operations.
• Support and implement all Company Policies and adherence to the Collective Bargaining
• Safety is everyone’s responsibility; identify risks and report violations, near misses, or injuries immediately
• Knowledge of GMP’s, safety standards, quality standards and demonstrated ability to react and communicate effectively to issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Requirements for Consideration

• Minimum of an associate degree; bachelors degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Minimum of three years technical experience
• Previous experience working in a unionized environment preferred
• Predictive Index (PI) Survey

Desired Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing quality control experience
• Quality control certification (ASQ)
