What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Bear Cove Cabins?

This job exists to perform daily upkeep and maintenance to all Bear Cove Cabins properties ensuring the safety and satisfaction for all owners and cabin guests.

II. Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities

. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, and rotate an after hours on call schedule.

· Provide scheduled preventative maintenance for properties including trash removal from property areas.

· Repair, install, modify, and troubleshoot carpentry, electrical, and mechanical systems.

· Ensure that all work is completed in a safe manner and that it complies with Company Safety Program and other company policies and procedures.

· Operate a motor vehicle.

. Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license and proof of insurance.

· Document repairs and complete work order request forms; maintain records of work completed.

. Must access to internet (smartphone) and be comfortable using applications for basic job functions.

Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.

III. Educational and Experience Requirements

· High School Diploma required.

· At least two years of work experience that demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/residental environment, to include the use of required tools and power equipment.

· Experience related to carpentry, electrical, mechanical and general maintenance required.

· Must be able to provide reliable transportation and must use own vehicle for work.

· Must be at least 18.

· Must pass background check and a drug test.

· Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.

· Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.

· Able to tolerate a fast-paced, hectic environment.

· Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.

· Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time

· Able to operate/drive a motor vehicle.

· Able to tolerate temperatures of 0 to 110.

· Able to work outdoors.

· Able to walk, climb, kneel, bend, twist, stoop, crawl, and reach high and low.

· Able to see depth perception and color.

· Able to carry up to 50 pounds.

· Able to identify basic construction materials.

· Able to use hand tools and power tools such as electric drill, drill press, side grinder, porta band, saws all, electric hoist, chain saw, and jig saw, torque wrench, and impact wrench.

· Able to tolerate approved exposure levels of various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints and lubricants.

· Able to work and drive at high elevations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
