Farm Worker

We are an award-winning sustainable flower farm going into our six production year growing magnificent flowers in the beautiful historic Hudson Valley, New York. We grow gorgeous dahlias - over 100 varieties- peonies, and other rare plants. Additionally, we are in the process of creating acres of sustainable native habitats for native plants and fauna.

This is not a typical job environment. At Bear Creek Farm, everyone's job is diverse and ever-changing because we are growing, but we work together as a strong team to learn, reach big goals and nurture beauty through flowers. We are seeking someone who is positive, motivated, energetic, and ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. We take great pride in the quality of our product and every task requires precision and attention to detail.

If you are passionate about bringing beauty and inspiration into the homes and celebrations of families, this job is for you. You will participate in a wide range of farm tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will help support the preparation, propagation, production, and maintenance of the fields and greenhouse of flower crops as well as established gardens. This is physically demanding work that is largely outdoors in all types of weather. Qualifications

• Love flowers and nature
• Have good observation skills and be detail-oriented
• Ability to work carefully and quickly
• Strong work ethic and able to see all tasks through to completion
• Can work well independently and also as part of a team
• Willingness to work outside during various weather conditions, including inclement weather
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Be comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds
• Have own transportation
• Able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities include helping to process flowers for market, maintaining the beauty of our property, and participating in planting and harvesting.
