PURPOSE/DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Under general supervision, operates radiographic equipment to obtain ordered radiographs consistent with department routines and procedures. In doing so, positions patients, adjusts equipment for proper exposure settings, completes the exam in the electronic medical record and verifies the images in the PACs system. Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging services in the specialty of Computed Tomography. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of a variety of equipment to produce images of the patients body for diagnostic purposes. Interviews patients, explains procedures, and assists in positioning the patient for procedures. Reviews test results with radiologists/referring physicians.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a recognized approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in Radiological Technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) OR board eligible (must achieve ARRT credential within six months of employment)
- Current Montana license as a Radiology Technologist/Regional RT must possess additional current state license as appropriate to service site.
- Current healthcare provider CPR Certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
SCHEDULE
- Per Diem (as needed)
- Required to participate in on-call rotation (evening, weekends, holidays)
COMPENSATION
- 25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE for Rad Tech
- $29.50 - $35.00 per hour DOE for CT Certified
- $31.80 - $38.15 per hour DOE for Mammo Certified
