What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian Tech position at Beaumont Health?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assists with supporting the Medically Tailored Meals (MTM) program. Works with the Nursing Education department, with the support of a Registered Dietitian as needed. Responsible for calling participants and registering them into the MTM program. Connects with participants to have end-of-program diet discussion. Responsible for post-survey calls with participants to gain end-of program feedback.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Identifies and adheres to the code of ethics for the dietetics profession
· Works directly with the Beaumont Health MTM program manager regarding participants
· Contacts potential participants for the Beaumont Health MTM program
· Registers participants on the Beaumont Health MTM program site
· Follows up with participants on a regular basis regarding program progress, meal orders, and feedback
· Connects with participants to have scheduled end-of-program diet discussion
· Conducts post-survey calls to gain participant feedback – recommends development opportunities and resources based on the participant’s area
· Partners with a Registered Dietician, as needed
· Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis
· Performs other duties as assigned
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education / Training:
· An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service systems management, or related area, granted by an accredited college or university required.
B. Work Experience:
· At least one year of relevant experience required.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
· CRT – Registered Dietician (RD) – CDR or CRT- Nutrition & Dietetic Technician, Registered (NDTR) – CDR required.
D. Other Qualifications:
· Ability to clearly communicate, active listen, write, and write
· Must have general competence level with basic computer functions
