What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Assistant - PT position at Beaumont?
We are looking for a laundry attendant in our Retirement Community for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with some Holidays requirements. (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
To provide laundry services for all departments. Take care of personal laundry for Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, and Independent Living. All other duties as assigned. Must be able to operate laundry equipment safely following standard safety practices. Prepare and clean laundry following established federal and state safety sanitation guidelines. Must always follow infection control protocols. Ensure that an adequate supply of laundry/linen supplies is maintained in laundry/linen closets to meet the daily needs of the residents. Keep work area(s) free of hazardous conditions; i.e., spills, excess laundry, carts, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc. Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift in excesses of 50 lbs. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be 21 or older. High school graduate or equivalent.
