As the Working Student Technical Documentation at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, you play a supporting role for producing and revising technical documentation content for the product lines we support in our Content Management System (CMS). Your tasks include writing and editing texts, taking photographs, screenshots, and making videos. You work in our Agile development environment, and have access to prototypes in our labs. You collaborate with your technical documentation colleagues and subject matter experts in software, engineering, Technical Support, Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Assurance, amongst others, for gathering information and obtaining approval.
This position is for the Technical Documentation Department located in Munich and will be on site.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to creating content for our documentation in a regulated environment.
- Learn about and adhere to the company’s procedures, style guide, terminology guidelines, and relevant best-practice guidelines.
- Define and create appropriate multimedia (such as 2D figures, 3D animation, photos, videos, screenshots) for accompanying written documentation.
The essential requirements of the job include:
enrolled as a full-time student in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Life Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, writing, and grammar skills in the English language.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and subject matter experts.
- Ability to learn how to use software tools and follow written procedures.
A plus is if you also have:
- Experience or fundamental knowledge in content management systems, XML, and DITA.
- Experience or fundamental knowledge of the following software applications: Illustrator, Lightroom, Adobe Premier, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Interest in the medical device/diagnostics field with the desire to work in an R&D environment.
