POSITION: Finance Specialist
PROGRAM: Finance Department
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position works under the supervision of the Finance Manager. Primarily responsible for billing, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting to support monthly close. There will be cross-training on payroll and accounts payable functions to support all aspects of the Finance team.
SALARY: $25-28/hour DOE
STATUS: Part-Time 25-30 hours per week; Non-Exempt
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Possesses the professional skills and abilities specific to the technical aspects of the position. This position requires large volumes of data entry and attention to detail and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with the rest of the team. The Finance team works together to meet monthly billing deadlines with the Regional Center and to support the overall financial needs of the Agency.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Accounting Certificate, Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years experience in payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, preferred.
Two years experience in General Ledger accounting and month close preferred.
Experience with computerized accounting software.
